The first action of the board was to move into executive session to discuss a settlement agreement with former board secretary and assistant school Business Administrator Brian Falkowski. The board emerged about 20 minutes later to unanimously approve an agreement that paid Falkowski $5,400 for unused sick leave time and $6,000 for assisting the board office in the transition for the interim board secretary.The board next unanimously approved the appointment of Joseph Cappello as interim board secretary and interim business administrator - a position for which Cappello will be paid $425 per day until the board finds a permanent replacement for Falkowski.Before the public comment session, President Robert Houser said the board, with five newly elected members, took the position to settle all previous litigation from the previous board, but no sooner did he say that than members of the public brought up old and new accusations against the board members.
